You may know us as Vanessa and Devin, the beekeepers who started Kilohana Honey! Well welcome to the fruition of our plans, to open Big Island Meadery, the first meadery on the Big Island making mead aka "honey wine" made from our very own honey!

Our Reason
The Bees
For the love of bees. Always was, always will bee! Beekeepers face countless challenges, including Small Hive Beetles, Varroa Mites, and environmental threats – heavy rains and more recently, lava flows. But due to the year-round warmer climate, Hawaii is an overall great location for raising bees. “We want to spread the awareness of Big Island award winning honey, promote the vast number of varietal honey flavors and pair some of those flavor notes with local fruits and spices into tasty beverages”.
