Directions

Big Island Meadery LLC, is the brainchild of award winning meadmakers and beekeepers Vanessa Houle, MBA graduate, and Devin Magallanes, innovator. Big Island Meadery LLC is fully licensed and ready to make an impact on the local craft beverage scene.

While at its basic, mead aka “honey wine” is a combination of honey, water and yeast. But at Big Island Meadery, Vanessa and Devin have been creating locally inspired flavors with the use of locally produced honey from their apiary, and locally grown fruits and spices. “Mead is an interesting medium. It fills the gap between wine, beer and mixed drinks. And that’s what we wanted to do; offer more variety in the Big Island beverage scene, while producing it all right here in Keaau, Hawaii!!”

Currently sales of mead are through the tasting room only. We will notify the public when we have the ability to sell online!
